3. Select a Category.
4. Enter a Name for the Waste Type.
5. Enter any Additional Info.
6. Select an EWC (Waste).
7. Select one or more Hazard Codes if the waste is hazardous.
8. Select a Physical Characteristic (Powder, Solid, Viscous, Sludgy, Liquid, Gaseous, or Other).

If applicable you can enter a Convert To Weight Expression (formula), for example, to convert a drum into equivalent kg. When you enter the number of drums in a shipment this will convert it to kg. For example the formula x*8, where x is equal to the number of items (packages or drums) and 8 is the weight of each item in kg, will multiply the number of items by 8 kg. You can use all types of standard expressions (+, -, /). Use the Test button to check your calculation.
10. Ensure Active is ticked & Save.
You can only ship waste to companies who are approved to take it as determined by the Waste Codes (EWC) associated with their Licence or Permit. The Licence or Permit must also be valid, i.e. not expired. |
