What is an incident?
An incident is a generic term used to designate an event that takes place which has or may have an environmental impact and/or runs a risk of a health & safety injury.
Incidents have been grouped into various "Types" such as Accident, Complaint, (Environmental) Incident, etc. Certain Types may be raised automatically by SCANNELL as a result of data entered in other modules, for example Audit Non-conformances are raised automatically from the Audit module and Non-Compliances are raised automatically from the Data module.
These "Types" are standard in the product and cannot be altered; however various "Subtypes" can be configured by certain users. For example, Accident - First Aid, Accident - Lost Time, etc.
