Profile Manager

 

To create and manage Profiles you must enter the Profile Manager section of the LAW module by clicking on the Profile Manager link in the Menu.

 

Only users with the Access Right: Create Profiles will see this link.

A new screen will pop up containing a list/table of any existing Profiles.

 

 

The Menu is at the top and gives you options to:

      New: create a new Profile.

      Edit: edit an existing Profile.

      View Summary: view a summary report of an existing Profile.

      Sharing: share a Profile with other group members.

      Trash: trash a Profile.

      Restore: restore a trashed Profile.

      Level of Compliance: turn or off the Level of Compliance functionality for a Profile.

      Refresh List.

      Display Profiles by status (state) – Active, Unfinished, Trashed.

      Content Import: import a content file supplied by Scannell Solutions with updates of legislation.

 

Highlight the Profile & click on Edit in the top bar of the window.

The Profile consists of a number of tabs which allow information to be entered or items to be selected from drop downs or checkboxes:

 

      General

 

Enter the name of the Profile which will appear in dropdowns and on other pages.

Select whether it covers Environment only, Health & Safety only or both.

Enter some details about what site(s) & activities the Profile covers.

Select the Profile Owner.

 

      Business - The location, main business activity & sub-group and size of business. Also you can select relevant certifications that you hold.

These are based on the EU NACE Coding system. Typically only one business activity group should be chosen per profile.

      Materials - Your role in the transport of dangerous goods and the types of materials used that may be subject to legislative control.

 

      Environment - Emissions to Air, Water, Waste, Planning, Local Sensitive Locations, Energy & Resources, etc.

 

      Health & Safety - Activities that you carry out & Equipment you use.

 

      Checklists – The final tab lists the Compliance Checklist Items based on your earlier selections.

 

The Checklists are organised by Section (Environment, Health & Safety, Joint EHS) then by Category (Air, Waste, Water, etc).

 

Click the Quick Save periodically to ensure that you do not lose information if you are interrupted.

 

The ticks indicate Checklists containing relevancy information entered by users with editing rights from the normal Checklist view pages.

Once you are finished click the Finish button to save your changes.

 

Sharing: If this is a new Profile highlight it in the list & click on Sharing in the menu panel at the top of the page. Tick the relevant Group(s) you wish to share the Profile with. Your Group is determined when you are first set up as a user in the ADMIN module - if in doubt about your Group contact your System Administrator.

 

Close the Profile Manager Window.

 

Unshared & Unfinished profiles will not appear in the main system. If you notice a profile is unfinished edit and save it again. This is caused by exiting the Profile without clicking the Finish button.
