Register of Regulations (Management of Compliance Obligations)

 

The LAW module of SCANNELL helps organizations to keep up to date with & manage relevant Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) legal and other requirements (Compliance Obligations).

 

The system employs two key concepts:

 

      Profile - a specific site or business activity Profile which enables the system to filter relevant legislation based on your business, where you are located and the types of activities, materials and equipment that you use.

 

      Compliance Checklists  - a unique system of Checklist Topics, linked to Legislation and Keywords. These Checklists help you identify statutory requirements by bringing together all the requirements for a particular topic against which you can record and keep up to date your management controls and evidence of compliance.

 

Essentially the system creates an online Register with the legislation kept up to date by Scannell Solutions.

 

As well as identifying which legislation is relevant to your activities the system enables you to describe why each requirement is relevant and how you are managing and evaluating compliance.

 

This satisfies the compliance requirements of the ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 International Environmental, Health & Safety Management Standards as well as other standards such as ISO 50001 (EN16001) for Energy Management and EMAS, the EU Eco-Management & Audit Scheme.
