Compliance Checklist Items are a key concept within the system and they are the core of compliance management. Each Checklist brings together the requirements for a particular topic (elements of the legislation which may need compliance control). So for each piece of legislation the associated Checklists highlight the applicable (relevant) requirements based on the Profile.
Against each Checklist you can enter why it is relevant or applicable and how you are evaluating compliance.
• Relevance: text specifying why an item is relevant and how it is being controlled to ensure compliance and by whom, and
• Evaluation of Compliance: evidence that the organization complies with the requirements under the Checklist Item. For example records of statutory checks, reports from accredited laboratories on emissions, specific documentation, etc
In the international management system standards ISO 14001 (Environment), OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001) (Health & Safety) and ISO 50001 (Energy) there is a requirement to:
•Determine and have access to legal and other requirements (compliance obligations) applicable to your activities and •Establish, implement and maintain a process to evaluate fulfilment of the compliance obligations. |
A summary on the level of completion of Checklists is shown on the Dashboard. |
