SCANNELL uses the concept of Access Levels to determine access rights for groups of Users rather than assigning individual access rights. There are certain exceptions (Assignable Access Rights) where more flexibility is required, for example confidentiality.
Typically there are four such levels:
• Level 1: these users have full access rights to particular modules and they are entitled to modify or approve changes within those modules.
• Level 2: these users have intermediate (supervisory) rights to particular modules.
• Level 3: these users can carry out specific tasks within particular modules.
• Level 4 or Read only: these users can view information within particular modules but cannot make any changes.
In addition certain clients have the following variants:
• Level 3+ : users have an increased range of tasks they can perform compared to Level 3.
• Level 4+ : users have the ability to enter incidents but cannot be made responsible for the incident and therefore cannot create an investigation or actions for the incident.
